ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Regional Chamber is now accepting nominations for the region’s top leaders and companies for its 5th Annual Arcus Awards. The Arcus Awards honor companies, organizations, and institutions who demonstrate exceptional commitment to leading the St. Louis region’s economic strengths and creating economic opportunities for our region. The Regional Chamber is accepting nominations now at www.arcusawards.com through Friday, November 27, 2017.
Latin for “arch”, Arcus symbolizes the Gateway Arch, the unifying symbol of bold vision, partnership and progress for our bi-state region. For-profit businesses, start-ups, higher education institutions, non-profit organizations, and public entities that maintain a headquarters or substantial operations in the St. Louis metropolitan statistical area are eligible for nomination. The Academy Awards-style event will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch.
The 2018 Arcus Awards are once again being presented by RubinBrown LLP.
The Chamber and guests will recognize honorees in the following categories, which are based on the Chamber’s One Plan for Regional Prosperity:
Ameren Corporate Citizen Award
For enhancing the quality of life and making positive changes that impact St. Louisans across the social, cultural and economic spectrum through philanthropic giving, community involvement by employees, and/or partnerships with state and location governments.
BMO Harris Bank St. Louis Spirit Award
For risk-taking, advancing an innovation, cutting-edge technology, or industry best practice that extends St. Louis’ rich history and global reputation as a hub of innovation and forward-looking vision.
Arcus Award for Achievement in Biosciences
Arcus Award for Achievement in Financial Services
Arcus Award for Achievement in Health
Arcus Award for Achievement in Logistics
For creating an innovative product or service; achieving revenue or employment growth; raising investment capital; designing or constructing a significant building or infrastructure project; and/ or providing other leadership to champion the bi-state St. Louis region’s world-class excellence in this economic sector.
Arcus Award for Achievement in Educational Attainment
For providing leadership through the creation of a program or initiative that promotes college degree attainment, improved educational outcomes or on-the-job training.
Arcus Award for Achievement in Entrepreneurship & Innovation
For providing leadership through the launch or growth of a start-up company, contributions to forming early-stage capital, or supporting entrepreneurship training.
Arcus Award for Achievement in Inclusion & Talent Attraction
For providing leadership through the creation of a program or initiative that promotes a diverse and global workforce and increases opportunities for individuals and businesses.
Arcus Award for Achievement in Public Policy
For providing leadership through the creation of a program or initiative that unites the public and private sectors to advance and secure policy necessary to make St. Louis a better place to live, work and invest.
