If your company is interested in the Challenge, attend a FREE informational meeting at the Dennis & Judith Jones Visitor and Education Center in Forest Park on May 10, 7:30 - 9:30 am. Space is limited and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The St. Louis Green Business Challenge is recruiting companies to join its 8th annual sustainability program through May 12, 2017.  Powered by the St. Louis Regional Chamber and the Missouri Botanical Garden, the St. Louis Green Business Challenge introduces companies of all sizes and industries to the world of sustainable business practices.

Since the program’s inception in 2010, 176 companies have participated in the Challenge, representing over 150,000 employees engaged in sustainable business practices. By leveraging the St. Louis Regional Chamber’s broad business network and the Missouri Botanical Garden’s sustainability resources, the St. Louis Green Business Challenge influences the business, education, government and nonprofit sectors of the St. Louis regional economy. Companies benefit from customized coaching and site visits provided by the EarthWays Center, the Missouri Botanical Garden’s sustainability division.

Participants choose one of four tracks to measures their progress based on their company’s culture and goals: the Apprentice Track, Leaders Track, Champions Track or Green Cities Track. A point-based scorecard tracks each company’s progress based on six sustainability measures: Outreach, Energy, Indoor Environmental Quality, Waste, Water and Transportation. These measures guide participants to conserve energy, improve indoor environmental quality, reduce waste, promote clean transportation alternatives and educate fellow organizations.

Companies can register for the 2017 Challenge through May 12. Program details and registration links are available at www.stlouisgreenchallenge.com
