Construction

Greater St. Louis continues to be recognized nationally for the restoration and adaptive reuse of its historic buildings.  However, this is just one example of the strength of the region’s construction industry.

St. Louis is home to hundreds of contractors, construction managers, and specialty contractors with national and international construction experience.  We have a highly skilled labor pool with excellent state-of-the art training facilities.

Yet, national construction cost data consistently shows St. Louis construction costs are just slightly above average (102.7% of U.S.) in 2015. This is remarkably low for a metropolitan area of our size.

Examples of recent, award-winning construction projects by area firms in specific categories such as healthcare, education, and industrial are highlighted at the Associated General Contractors website and the 2015 AGC Awards Gala Digest featuring keystone awards and specialty contractor of the year awards.
