As a regional convener, we often work alongside other organizations to advance initiatives centered on economic development, workforce development, and talent attraction.
St. Louis Regional Youth Employment Coalition
The St. Louis Youth Employment Coalition (RYEC) aims to increase youth employability and create diverse talent pipelines by connecting young people in our region with high-quality, work-based learning and employment opportunities. One tool is Blueprint4Careers which features short-term training programs in relevant regional sectors. As a partner in the St. Louis Regional Youth Employment Coalition, we support this work by connecting business to workforce development providers to expand opportunities for youth to pursue careers high-growth, high-demand fields.
Bridging the Talent Gap
St. Louis was one of four communities across the country selected for a Bridging the Talent Gap grant, which funded an in-depth employer survey that helped us better understand the needs of our regional employers and employee trends. This data identified some of our regional workforce pain points with the goal of ensuring more people have access to training and education opportunities in high demand occupations.
